Video Frenzel goggles are used for a comprehensive evaluation of your dizziness and/or vertigo
Video Frenzel goggles are a special pair of goggles we use to get a close look at how your eyes are moving. They have small cameras and use infrared light, which lets me see and record your eye movements clearly—even when it’s dark.
This matters because your eye movements are closely connected to your inner ear (your balance system). The goggles also make it harder to focus on things around you, which is helpful because focusing can sometimes hide important eye movement patterns. By taking that away, we can better see signs related to dizziness or vertigo.
During the test, you’ll simply wear the goggles while I guide you through a few gentle movements or positions. It’s quick, comfortable, and helps us better understand what’s causing your symptoms so we can treat them more effectively.
